Date: Sept. 9, 2008 - Tuesday
We've set up camp at the Cassiar RV Park, and no it's not that kind of RV Park, it's basic but it does have full-hookups, no cell tower for miles, and internet is out of the question. Had our second day of fishing on the Skeena river a run we named the Rest Stop, and Scott landed two beauties, a 36" Silver Steelhead and a 32" Silver Coho .
I got the big Golden Goose Egg, there's always tomorrow. I think that's a song. Well back at camp and waiting for Bruce & Susan to pull in, talked to them yesterday and they were planning to be here late afternoon. Well, got a little worried why they haven't shown up so Scott headed for the pay phone (no cell service here) and called their cell. Ok, what happens when a 900 lb. moose crosses the road in front of a F250 pulling a 5th wheel? You guess it. Thank God, no one was injured, except for the truck and the moose. They were towed to an RV park in Old Hazelton and their truck was towed to the tow yard. (Which is the back yard of the tow driver). We are off to lend a hand and a shoulder and figure out the next step. Will keep you up-dated.
